Is anyone else geeking out right now? Not and no-one else did Mark Hamill tell George Lucas' process just about crafting Chewbacca for his first tell in A other Hope, but Luke Skywalker got to snag the prototype, and has kept it to this day. Hamill has always been on the franchise's biggest cheerleaders, and this type of love and love for the property is why the fandom continues to cherish him to this day.
It's engaging to hear how George Lucas methodically brought Chewbacca to life. The Wookie needed to be the right parts cuddly and terrifying, mirroring how the Star Wars franchise mixes adult themes and childlike wonder. Chewie has made a whopping seven appearances across the live-action blockbusters, and will be rounding going on to an even eight taking into account J.J. Abrams' Episode IX.
