The scene seems for that reason out of context one wonders if it was ever in fact expected to be in the movie. It feels more like an outtake than it does a deleted scene. It's feasible that most likely this moment was categorically improvised, and just turned out for that reason capably that it nearly made the movie. If it was a categorically improvised scene, later the obvious bordering ask becomes, was this actually shot by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and not Ron Howard?
